Why is my air con not blowing cold?
If it used to be ice cold and now it is ambient, the gas has usually gone. Gas does not “get used up” like petrol. It leaks. A recharge without a leak test is a short-term trick.
What we look for
Pressures, obvious damage to the condenser at the front of the car, pipe condition, and whether the compressor actually kicks in.
Use it in winter
Running air con now and then keeps seals wet. Cars that sit all winter often fail first use in May.
