How long does a car service take?
It depends on the level. An oil change is not a major service. We would rather quote a honest finish time than promise lunchtime and miss it. Drop-off is fine if you need to get to work.
Rough times
- Oil and filter: often under two hours
- Interim: a couple of hours
- Full service: most of the day
- Major: can run into extra time if plugs, fuel filter and brake fluid are due
What slows it down
Seized drain plugs, extra faults we find, waiting on a part. We call before extra work. Loan cars and collection are subject to availability.
