What does the engine management light mean?
The engine light is not one fault. It is a flag that the car has stored a code. Misfire, lambda sensor, DPF, loose cap on the fuel tank. We plug in the kit and read it. That is cheaper than replacing parts at random.
Steady amber
Drive to us if the car feels normal. Do not ignore it for months. Emissions and catalytic converters suffer if a misfire is left.
Flashing
That often means an active misfire. Ease off, avoid high revs, and call us. Continuing to thrash it can damage the cat.
